Tsunami Swim Club: The 2018 12&Under KYCSL League Champions!!

It may be very cold outside, but it is smoking HOT on the Tsunami swim team!!! Attached are the results from Sunday. We ended up winning by 282 points! (And we were still down about 7 or 8 swimmers). We also ended a 13-yr win streak by Beaumont (2005-2017) and we racked-up numerous High point awards by our swimmers in their age groups. WOW swimmers! Your coaches are so proud of the way you swam! You swam with heart, you swam with love and you swam together as a Team. Your WILL to win was unmatched Sunday. THAT is what Tsunami swimming is and will ALWAYS be about!! *We have 19 new Tsunami pool records so make sure to check out our team records on our website! Year two of building a Y-USA swim team in Louisville and we have a very special group of 12&Unders. Some of you have seen what the Ohio YMCA's have in terms of a competitive swimming program and while we have a ways to go, we have a niche that we have carved out for ourselves in the city and the chance to develop our youth. Above all, we are so very grateful for the chance to coach them all and to be a part of their lives. YAY!! Youth development! We also had our 12&under girls "A" 200 free relay Officially get a Zones cut on Sunday! Congratulations girls! And we have a few who are inching even closer to that Zone cut. But the really proud moment for us as coaches was not only winning the meet, it was that everyone came together as a team (WE not ME) and swam so well. And the teammates that cheered on our relays and individual events, Harrison and Kyla's 500 frees, our aquatic director, Adam, driving up to watch us swim, and the 13&Overs who came to cheer us on.....the overall togetherness and love. To us as coaches, thats what it is all about. The Team. I'm also very proud of my assistant coaches and all the hard work they have put into the team. As I have said, I have some of THE BEST assistant coaches in the city! Ok, enough said. Enjoy the victory (and the time off of school!!). Now the question becomes, can our 282 point lead, as it were, be enough to match their 13&overs with our 13overs??? It will be VERY close. So, lets not rest now. We still have a State Y-USA Championship to get ready for. Keep up the hard work swimmers AND parents!! WE not ME: WE are a TEAM, WE are a FAMILY, WE are a COMMUNITY. WE ARE TSUNAMI!!! GO Tsunami!!!
