Fundamental Dryland Skills

Tsunami Swim Club has paired with the Health and Wellness director to offer a comprehensive dryland regiment for swimmers 11& Over.  

With the assistance of a health and wellness coach, swimmers will be guided through specific dryland exercises designed to strengthen core, increase stamina, body coordination training, stability, body consciousness, manipulate skills and locomotive skills.  Swimmers will lean how to perform certain exercises and use some (minimal) of the equipment at the YMCA.

Not only will this benefit their swimming technical skills, it will also teach the swimmers how to properly exercise thus leading to healthier teenagers and adults.

*The use of smart phones will not be allowed during this time.  You must wear proper shoes during drylands.  The coaching staff along with the health and wellness director will monitor the swimmers during their exercises.  This is a privilege that can and will be revoked
