Turkey Trot Info: 

We are excited to run the water station for Turkey Trot with your help! We need our volunteers there BY 6:45 am as our bus will be leaving at 7:00 am to transport us to the water station on the Shelby Campus in the middle of the race course where our Tsunami table will be. This means you must drop off your swimmer in the parking lot off Mill Brook Road which is the back parking lot down by our Calypso Cove water park. We will be meeting in the branch in the chapel. The race is estimated to end around 9:30 am where the bus will drive us back to the branch. You can park in the back parking lot by the ramp entrance/exit of the building (orange lot that is on the pool side) to pick up your swimmer. If the parking lot is full at that time, you can park at the Northeast Library or contact me personally where we will figure out a meeting spot. My phone number is (639) 853-0207.

Please be sure to dress warm as we will be outside the whole time. We will have ponchos and hand warmers for all volunteers should it get too cold or drizzle! Also to ease your mind, we will have the bus by us should any swimmers get too cold to stand outside where they can take a break to warm up. We will also have a porta potty available.

I will be happy to sign off on any community hours our swimmers may need from this. We are the only water and snack table for our runners so Tsunami plays an important role in it all! It is our hope that our team sees and feels the importance of volunteer work in the community that the Y so heavily relies on to carry out its mission.
